Snow-white variety

A winter just the way you like it

Our surroundings offer a varied holiday program not only in summer but also in winter. Passionate cross-country skiers will find perfectly maintained trails here. Families with children can have fun tobogganing here and those looking for peace and quiet can trudge through romantic winter forests.

Winter hikes
On silent soles

All those who love the Plose hiking area or the Villnöss valley in summer will also do so in the depths of winter. The hiking destinations remain the same. Whether it's to the Schatzerhütte, to the little church of Freienbühel or to the Geisleralm – the Dolomites are close enough to touch and the views are indescribable.

Tobogganing
On South Tyrol’s longest toboggan run

The nine kilometre long toboggan run RudiRun on the Plose is a varied pleasure, where leisurely riders can go for a good 30 minutes. If you prefer to hike to the starting point yourself, the best thing to do is to hike to the Rossalm.

Cross-country skiing
Glide towards happiness

Cross-country skiing in the Plose ski and cross-country skiing area is not only good for the body. The tranquillity and the panorama along the cross-country ski run on the Würzjoch also clear your mind. The trail begins at the Schnatzengraben car park and is eight kilometres long.

Snowshoe hiking
On the sparkling carpet of snow

How about a relaxing snowshoe hike in the Villnösstal or a challenging ski tour in the Geisler area? You are welcome to take part in the guided hikes organised by the Tourist Office and let yourself be guided to the most beautiful places in the Dolomites.
