Chiusa

In the heart of the lower Val d’Isarco at an altitude of 523 metres above sea level lies Chiusa, the picturesque artist's village.
The charming landscape of the city on the Isarco River and its welcoming inhabitants, pretty houses and Gothic churches has attracted a famous artist or two to Isarco in its time – the great Albrecht Dürer often visited Chiusa in the 15th century. 
 
Chiusa is a lovely little town. The shops in the old town houses offer a fantastic range of goods, including products crafted by local artisans as well as southern specialities and sophisticated fashions, make sure you make time to visit. It is a genuine pleasure to drink a cappuccino and sample some roasted chestnuts on the town square.
